About our Post
The Southeast Alabama American Veterans (AMVETS) Post 7 was founded in Daleville, Alabama in 2022. From the time we initially reached out to the Department of Alabama until we had our Charter in hand was within 30
daya. We are motivated.
The post hit the ground running with being active in the community and striving for the largest positive Impact on veterans that we serve.
We feel there is no greater honor than being able to serve our fellow veterans.
Meetings
The Southeast Alabama American Veterans (AMVETS) Post 7 meets on the first Thursday of each month at 6 pm at the Southeast Community Training Center located at 195 U S Highway 84 West in Daleville which is the same building where ALFA Insurance is located.
Membership
Membership is open to all currently serving and honorably discharged U S Armed Forces service members to include those in reserve and guard.
Annual membership is $ 30 per year. Annual cycle runs from August to August next year.
Lifetime membership is available at the following rates/
• Age 55 and below: $ 500
• Age 56-65: $ 400
• Age 66 and over: $ 300
Programs
Local programs include:
• Assisting area homeless veterans with obtaining housing
• Assist with blood drives
• Spearheading ceremonies and remembrance for Memorial Day, POW/MIA Remembrance Day, Gold Star Family Day, Patriot Day, Veterans Day, and more
• Suicide Prevention
• Outstanding JROTC Cadet Awards
• Americanism Contest
• Helping veterans with VA claims process
• Host a community summer festival each year
• and more!
